Tamannah cannot comment on actress Ranjitha's incidents

Tamannah, during Paiyya’s press meet, said that she cannot comment on actress Ranjitha, as it is her personal affair. The actress, however, pointed out that all the actresses should not be seen in bad light because of stray incidents like this.



Awaiting the release of Paiyya shortly, Tamannah is indeed excited. She pairs up with Karthi in this film. The actress, who had an opportunity to star with Karthi’s brother Suriya in Ayan, says that both the actors are good co-stars.

Tamannaah Speaking about her first impressions of love

Tamannaah the top heroine of Kollywood is yet to make a mark in Tollywood.


Not given to fun and frolic on the sets, she would display true professionalism. Making her debut with Manoj’s film Sree , she soon gained the foothold and proved her mettle in the entire South. She too has moments of lighter vein romance when she was going to school.



Speaking about her first impressions of love, Tamannaah said: “During my schooldays, I started liking a boy, brother of one of my friends. Though I really did not have any necessity, I used to visit my friend’s house to have a look at her brother. I kept talking to him deliberately creating situations. In my heart of hearts, I used to enjoy some inexpressible joy. When I recall those moments now, I start laughing.”


“After schooling, I joined the college and went to the classes for one day. That’s it. After that, busy with films. Most of the time, I am spending in the South. Now, I don’t have an iota of time to think of him. Of course, I don’t cherish the same feeling as it was then,” she said.

Tamannaah's much awaited Paiyya will grace screens on April 2

Karthi-Tamannaah’s much awaited Tamil urban story Paiyya (also spelt Paiya), directed by Lingusamy under the banner of Thiruppathi Brothers and Cloud Nine, will grace screens on April 2, the makers have confirmed.


Distributed in Tamil Nadu by Dhayanidhi Alagiri, the film has bagged a clean ‘U’ certificate by the censors without any cuts. The makers are planning to remake Paiyya in Telugu (with Ram Charan Teja) and Hindi after the release of the Tamil version.



Shot in Bangalore, Hyderabad and Mumbai, Paiyya is about some interesting events happenings in the lives of a pair of lovers. Initially, the film was supposed to hit screens on Pongal day, but got delayed as Karthi’s Aayirathil Oruvan was being released, then the film was postponed to February, and now again to April. There were also rumours that the delay was due to the financial problems of the producers.
