


Fans and movie buffs in Tamil Nadu have been doing Paal Abhishegam to the cut-outs of their favorite film stars since a very long time. Many top heroes, including Rajinikanth’s cut-outs, did not escape this practice during their film’s release.
The latest to join this bandwagon is Tamannah. The fans in Tuticorin inaugurated the All India Thanga Padhumai Tamannah Fans’ Club and performed the Paal Abhishegam on 50-feet Tamannah cut-out during the release of Paiyaa. This was brought to the notice of the actress, who condemned such action.
Tamannah said that she is not aware of the fans club and will not support such actions. The actress maintained that only Gods should be worshipped in this manner and this practice must be denounced.
Recently, a popular magazine asked director Jyothi Krishna about his favourite actress in the industy. And his pick was Tamannaah.
The director, who had worked with Shriya and Trisha also, said that Tamannaah does not trouble directors by throwing tantrums during film shoots.
He added that one actress he is scared of directing is Ileana. He disclosed that Ileana is temperamental and having her at the shooting spot could turn out to be very hectic at times.
Vijay’s 50th film has been titled Sura. Tamanna is pairing with Vijay in this film. S P Rajkumar is directing this film. He had recently directed Azhagar Malai.
The shooting of Sura is taking place in Azhapuzha in Kerala. The cast and crew is camped in Kerala for the last one week. Since this film is Vijay’s 50th film, extra efforts are being taken to make out this film well.
Vijay is the donning the role of a young and fisherman. A sequence where Thamanna falls into sea and wherein Vijay saves her was being shot. The shooting of this film is taken near the sea shore.
Kerala fans of Vijay thronged the shooting spots. and started mobbing Thamanna and Vijay. They took autographs and photos with them. The whole place turned into commotion. Police was called in and the situation was brought under control.
