Actress Tamannaah's look in her continuous movie Cameraman Gangatho Rambabu, wherein she plays a journalist, was revealed. Possibly, for her entire job, Tamannaah was seen in extravagant parts and also this is the initial time she strives an imbecilic avatar.

She stars contrary Pawan Kalyan in this movie, which is continuing at Padmalaya Studios in Hyderabad. Incidentally, it is her first movie with Pawan Kalyan. Puri Jagannadh is the director. I never expected that Shankar sir would appreciate me like this-Tamannah

This is not for roping in the actress for any future project from the director’s stable. But for heaping laurels on her that she would soon occupy the place of Simran in Tamil film industry at a recent function in Chennai.

Says Tamannah, “I never expected that Shankar sir would appreciate me like this. His words were very encouraging and I am thankful to him for holding me in such a high position. A top filmmaker like Shankar hailing me is not a small thing.”

She adds: “Though I was there in a couple of Tamil films earlier, it was Shankar sir’s S Pictures that gave me a break with ‘Kalloori’. It was only then I was able to occupy a decent position in Kollywood. So I am always grateful to him.”

Reiterating that her relationship with Karthi had never crossed the professional limits, Tamannah says, “We are good friends and good colleagues. There is nothing between us beyond that point. We both are professionals.”

Heard that you got hurt on the sets of Thillalangadi?
I sprained my left ankle while shooting for a song. We applied some balm and I continued to shoot. It’s nothing serious (smiles). The song is shaping out well and Shobi master is doing a wonderful job. With this song, the film is complete.

What are your next films?
Paiyya has been confirmed for April 2 release. I am looking forward to the response as it will be an entertaining film. Sura will be my next release probably by mid-April followed by Thillalangadi.

Any new projects that you have signed?
I am starting Karthi’s next film, in April in which he is doing double role, a remake of Vikramarkudu from Telugu. I have also signed up a film with Naga Chaitanya for director Sukumar and an Allu Arjun film directed by VV Vinayak in Telugu. By August I am doing Hari sir’s film with Dhanush in the lead and its our second film after Padikkathavan.

So you are the busiest actress in south today and all top heroes are repeating you in their films. Please comment.
(Laughs)Thanks to God. And pairing with top heroes purely depends on the box-office success of your previous films. I am looking forward to doing my second film with Dhanush and Karthi.

The moment director Lingusamy narrated the story to me, I fell in love with it. Vijay’s ‘Sura’ features me in an interesting role.
